Sometimes, what makes an edit difficult isn’t the technical side, but the emotion behind the story you’re telling.

This project was one of those moments.

Yorgos Mazonakis, one of Greece’s most beloved artists and a former judge on The Voice of Greece, sadly passed away from a heart attack just a few weeks before the new season began.

As a result, the first episode of the new season was dedicated to his memory.

Creating the promo for this special episode was very different from working on a regular broadcast promo. It wasn’t simply about choosing the right shots, music, pacing, and transitions. Every creative decision had to respect the person, his legacy, and the emotions surrounding his passing.

Sometimes, editing is not just about making something look or sound good.

Sometimes, it is about telling a story with the right emotion — and knowing when to let the story speak for itself.

This promo will always remain a very special project for me. 🖤
